red clockAvoiding the awkward, tip #2:  when someone asks if they may look around your home, say, “Some other time.” That phrase tells the person “No” without telling them they were rude for asking.  Simple as!

People can be persistent.  Never give in and keep repeating, “Some other time.”  If they ask, “When?” You repeat, “Some other time.”   Eventually, you’ll need to excuse yourself and get away.  Say, “Would you excuse me?”  Don’t tell them where you’re going…just nod, smile, and leave!

Tomorrow’s power word…just wait and see!
